||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The golf
course was built by American servicemen during their occupation of the Chaguaramas peninsula in World War II. Built on 39 hectares,
this unique Par 67, 5,646-yard golf course has nine holes and 18 T Boxes
tucked away in alcoves of towering bamboo. The greens are generally small,
well protected and can be tricky targets, but they are true and well
maintained. The cours High handicappers and novices can take heart from generous fairways and an absence of a punishing rough. The length of play is on average one hour and forty-five minutes. The Chaguaramas Golf Course has a 250 foot long driving range and refreshments beckons to you in the Club House at the end of your round of golf. Even if nature intervenes as it often does in the tropics, the Chaguaramas Golf Course, because of its excellent drainage, has the distinction of being one of those courses on which play can be resumed within a short while after a heavy downpour. |
